Home vs. Hospital Birth

Choose the care provider and birth location that fits into your ideal vision for birth, not the other way around.

What's your ideal birth look like? Do you want to go with the physiological flow or the institutional flow?

For many people, the default birth plan is to go to the hospital and do whatever you're told by the "experts". It often doesn't even appear that we have a choice... But we do.

If you want to allow your physiological birth to unfold as nature intended but you feel safer in the hospital, there are going to be obstacles.

The hospital is designed to stabilize (control, manage).

Birth does not need stabilization. It needs support.
